About

Beyond the resume

I'm a systems thinker who wants to build meaningful things at scale—and bring people along while doing it. I don't just build products; I question whether the work is meaningful, whether it's actually helping people, and whether I'm creating leverage for others to grow faster too.

I'm someone who's always hunting for the best local spots to eat, loves deep conversations about philosophy, life, purpose, and product, and genuinely cares about people. That combination of doing and reflecting is what drives me—I build things, then think deeply about whether they matter.

I grew up in Mumbai, studied in Syracuse, and now call Richardson, TX home. My projects reflect how I think and learn—whether it's Think Again (a reflection tool) or mentoring 2,500+ students. I carry a non-zero-sum mindset: success isn't something to compete for, it's something to expand and share.

I got into Anthropic and Acorns. Thank you for genuinely helping me and listening to me on that call. When I was interviewing for these companies all I remember was one line from that call "Prepare for your interviews as if this is the last one". To be honest that sentence kept on popping up in my mind at every phase of interview. I kept reminding myself it's do or die this time!

What leaders say

"Margil distinguished himself as an outstanding student who went above and beyond to onboard our incoming graduate students. He did this voluntarily and enhanced our incoming cohort's graduate student experience. His dedication, talent, and strategic engagement methods were readily apparent, and we created a graduate student recruiter position uniquely for him which is something we had not done before. Margil served (and continues to serve) as SU's College of Engineering and Computer Science Graduate Student Recruiter and Mentor. His work ethic, simply put, is unparalleled. In addition, since joining the team, we saw our largest cohort of incoming graduate students, and Margil played a large role in this. He conducts prospective and admitted student webinars, provides guidance to incoming students, and personalized feedback. Margil's initiative, attention to detail, and commitment is truly impressive. I have worked with a number of students throughout the years, and he will always stand out as the top student I have ever interacted with. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend him to anyone."
